Aleksandr Lukjanov

Aleksandr Lukjanov is a ballet artist educated within Russian ballet system with significant dance and teaching experience.

Aleksandr’s first contact with ballet was in Baku State ballet school (Azerbaijan) with his first ballet teacher Xuda-Kuli. He entered Kiev Choreographic school (Ukraine) in 1965 and was trained by Vladimir Denisenko. He continued his studies in Vaganova Academy with teachers such as Bregvadze, Fidler and Dudinskaya.

He started ballet career as a soloist in National Opera and Ballet in Kiev and Mariinsky Ballet in St.Petersburg (Kirov Ballet at the time). He continued his dancing career as a principal dancer in National Theater in Zagreb (Croatia) and Northern ballet (UK). His extensive repertoire includes all the major roles from the classical ballets.

After his retirement as ballet dancer, Aleksandr started to teach new generations of ballet dancers which he greatly enjoys.
